Buses as a transport??SuX!!

By studying in KL, without any personal transportation, I have no choice but to take buses everyday whenever I wanted to go anywhere. However, considering the convenience and the service it have given me-> SuX!!

It not that they can't get me to my destination, but, the Malaysian attitide towards the services given to people and time management, also, the most important thing -> to follow the rules made!

1st:- Bus drivers attitude (also mirrors Malaysian attitude)
The bus system/route, which I traveled with everyday, have been "changed", and the management staff told me that the system will be improved with the "new system" that they will start operating on the 1st of May 2006. However, what we, as a user of the bus gets is a "new" bus, which are mostly bought 2nd hand buses from other company; and the buses where on time, which is 15 mins per trip, which lasted for only about a month; the attitude of the bus drivers(not all, but mostly), who never even give me a smile, even I say thank you to them. Also, they will scold u if u does not follow the way he/she wanted.
The drivers were like having no responsibility towards what they are doing and he don't like the job he is doing.

2nd:- time management
As in the last para, the bus services were supposed to be 15 mins per trip. However, there are only 2 buses per destination, which per trip will make up about half an hour. So, if the system wanted to have 15mins per trip system, the bus company will have to have at least 3 buses for each destination, OR, to make the schedule changed to 30mins per trip. BUT, PLEASE BE ON TIME.
It's not the bus company always to be blamed, but the users were all "lepak-lepak" taking their time to do everything, even to get down of the bus, as if the whole world will have to wait for them. This makes the buses to keep up on their schedule.

3rd:- Rules are made to be broken???
Malaysians just don't know how to read signs!!
No eating and drinking on the bus = eat but don't let people notice that u are
no entry = if I wanted to pass, who can stop me
enter from the front, out from the back door= doors are doors which ways is easier for me is the way
show ur daily bus ticket to the driver = u can go on board anytime u wan
please queue = just make sure u go on board one by one, u can cut the queue b4 u reach the doorway of the bus
etc. etc. etc

another thing I found it interesting yesterday is that:
Bus stop is for buses to stop completely, with no bus driver on board...and a bus stop is a total heaven for the bus drivers to do watever they like, e.g. smoking, have snacks or even to chat.
warning guys!!: bus stop is not for passengers to go on board! it's for the bus driver to have their rest:P

Have a nice day travelling around with public transport;D

it's be much more expensive to maintain ur own vehicle in KL. Just be patient, u are the type that never thinks of earning ur own money, so...be tolerant to us who are working hard with metal shoes.
