Harbin Tour

I just came back from Harbin China~wat I have experienced is that u will never know wat cold is until u been there. The coldness there is undiscribable~
How cold is cold? even I wore 3 pairs of socks, my feet can still froze~if u are outside walking without closing ur ear, u will feel numbness on ur ears even for just less then 5 mins~by wearing 2 pairs of gloves, ur hands have still be frozed~
This is wat I call to spend money to suffer~but once in ones life time, one must know and experience wat is the real coldness.

Bout our tour~
1st day:- to fly from Penang to Incheon,Seoul; then to ShenYang Airport, then took a bus to ChangChun and stay there a night~At night, our 1st guide in China was irresponsible and think only bout herself, so, our tour leader asked for a change of guide.

2nd day:- the new guide, XiaoTian, first took us for ski, I have got my 1st lesson in ski, where luckily I got a chinese coach who is quite good and responsible. Though it is just a short lesson, I find myself can catch the basics of skiing. Then we went to movie wonderland, where it is a place to see how movie tricks are made, however, we don't manage to walk thru the whole wonderland. The Guide then took us to ChangChun's palace, which is more to a mansion, which was last a home to the last emperor of China, Puyi. Then, we leave ChangChun for Harbin.

3rd day:- Our guide in Harbin is XiaoBao. 1st, we went to KekLokSi in Harbin, then to Sun Island. Sun Island is where snow carvings are displayed. On the way, we stop by at one of the famous Russian Church. After Sun Island, we went to see winter swimming. The temperature was -18 to -20 celcius. However, those ppl, even at the age of 80, dive and swim in the water like it's summer. Beside the place of the winter swimming there is an ice slide for us to play with. The slide is cool~it's something like the slide in Genting, but this is more exotic, coz on the "cushion" we sit on have no place for u to hold on, and at the end is a natural frozen river bank. So, it's very exciting~ Later~ at bout 4pm, when the sun dissapears into the horizon, we proceed to 2 ice sculpturing, carving and light display. One is carving on a piece of ice, and another one is using ice boulders to build ice buildings where ppl can go into those buildings.
4th day:- This day is a whole day on bus, where we have to travel from Harbin back to ShenYang which takes 8-10 hours of drive. At night, we have some time to do some shopping beside our hotel and have dumpling dinner, which the dinner is composed of 7 dishes of different types of dumplings and 6 more of other dishes.

5th day:- On the morning, proceed to DaLian. This day is the day of new year eve. So, things I see is mostly things on the pics I posted up. At night, our tour leader bought us fireworks for everyone of us to play with at one of the squares, as sort of celebration to welcome year 2007.
6th day:- New year's Day!!It was snowing in the morning...We have got a white new year:p Went to the Jap-Russian prison. Then, to LvShun where we visited the past war remnants, and the yellow sea.
7th day:- Back in ShenYang, our guide is Paul~ We visited ShenYang's palace of the Qing Dynasty. The palace was once the place where the 1st Qing Emperor starts the dynasty. Then, we proceed to the Airport for departure back to Penang.
Here, I would like to present my special thanks to Shirley, our tour leader from Ace Tours, for giving us the best out of u, with great responsibility~ Also, to our guide in China, Miss LuLu, for ur great responsibility and ur best personality~
